The Wildcats used a15 – 0 run midway of the pay off period to dispose the Crusaders and claim the right to represent Davao City in the Visayas-Mindanao elimination for the second time in four years.
Center / forward Edgar Awitin carried the load for the Wildcats canning 25 points, 15 of which came in the first twenty minutes of play that gave the defending champions a commanding 47 – 34 lead at the half. The former Duterte Agilas slotman was unstoppable from both ends of the floor for the Wildcats.
Robert Ryan Calimpong added 9 points, including a baseline three-pointer, that gave his team the biggest lead at 60 – 36 with less than three minutes left.
