In memory of our slain colleagues and other victims of the Ampatuan Massacre of November 23, 2009, media workers of Davao City along with civil society groups will stage a die-in and rally at 5 p.m. today at the Centennial Park.

We urge everyone to join us. If you can’t, we ask you to please wear black, tie black ribbons, display black flags to show that we have had enough of this travesty  of justice.

MALAYBALAY CITY  (MindaNews/20 April) -- As the May 10 general elections draw near the pieces appear to be rapidly falling into place. The latest to fit itself into the Arroyo administration’s elaborate jigsaw is Acting Justice Secretary Alberto Agra’s order to drop the multiple murder charges against ARMM Governor Datu Zaldy Ampatuan and his brother in law, former Mamasapano mayor, later Acting Maguindanao Vice Governor Akmad Ampatuan, in connection with the November 23, 2009 Ampatuan Massacre.

DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/11 April) -- That’s always the question Presidential Management Staff (PMS) personnel ask  journalists during Presidential sorties in Mindanao.

Even media handlers of some high ranking government officials who visi the provinces, also ask the same question.

Nasubo sila sa gidangatan ni Oyanguren nga gitawag nilag forgotten founder and hero of Davao.

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (MindaNews/04 April)-- The contest between the top two pre-election survey leaders in the Presidential race has the trappings of the age-old conflict between the progressive/militant National Democrats and the moderate Social Democrats.
