Leticia 'Jane' Subang-delos Reyes writes 30 PDF Print E-mail

DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/30 March) --  Journalist Leticia ‘Jane’ Subang-delos Reyes, passed away  Sunday night, March 29 at the FEU hospital in Metro Manila. She was 50.  

Subang, a graduate of Davao City High School (Batch 1975), and the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City, worked as reporter of the defunct Business  Day and was assigned to cover Davao City from late 1984 to early 1986.

Jane, as friends and colleagues called her, is survived by her husband,  Joy de los Reyes, editor in chief of Malaya newspaper; and their three children -- Antonio Isabelo, Aida Corazon and Jose Socrates;  her parents Dominador and Peregrina, and siblings Ma. Beth and Rebecca and Guy Bourret.

Jane’s remains were cremated Monday.  Her ashes were brought to the University of the Philippines’ Chapel in Diliman for services until Thursday.

In Davao City, a mass will be offered for her at the Redemptorist Church at 5 p.m. on April 1. 

Jane’s way of coping with breast cancer served as an inspiration to many as she shared her experiences, photographs, even new hobbies, through a social networking group. (MindaNews)
