The entries were judged by the following:  Gary Granada, the famous singer-composer-arranger who has 13 albums (and musicals) to his credit and over 200 recorded songs;  Angelica Balbin-Imson, a famous voice in the jazz music industry and one of Davao's earliest claims to musical fame nationwide; Ava Patricia Avila, erstwhile coordinator of the Mindanao Young Women Leaders Forum, and Youth Coordinator of the Mindanao Commission on Women who now works as research analyst for the International Centre for Political violence and Terrorism Research at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore; and Rowena Nazareno, the youngest member of the now defunct Davao Concert Choir, erstwhile member of the Ateneo Glee Club, and lead singer in the early Davao chapter of Bread of Life (now Soli Deo Gloria).

The competition is aimed at mainstreaming peace consciousness, celebrating peace, and expanding the membership of Mothers for Peace throughout the country while encouraging creativity.

The project is supported by German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and Matina Town Square. (Mindanao Commission on Women)
