The distribution of arm chairs, teachers tables, and desks to public schools are also done from time to time.

Believing also that establishing a quality education doesn’t only mean having comfortable classrooms and facilities but equally important as well is for students to learn how to read and comprehend what they read, Governor Arturo T. Uy expanded his Project ARTURO (Accelerated Readers, Tomorrow’s Ultimate Response to Opportunities) which is now on its second waive.

Recognizing also the strong existence of public-private-partnership, private entities joined in as partners of the endeavor.  One of them is the Alcantara Foundation that introduces to the province an education reform program called COMET (Compostela Valley:  Transforming Education Today), an approach of making the students find more fun in learning and develop their skills particularly in reading.

Scholarship grant is also extended to the poor but deserving students in the province.  Advance studies are also given to teachers.

It can be recalled also that with the provincial government’s efforts to support the programs and endeavors of the Department of Education (DepEd) towards providing high quality education in the country, recently another national recognition is received by ComVal through the DepEd’s Adopt-A-School Program.  (grace almedilla, ids-comval)
