On the roadside,
unnoticed
by people
strolling leisurely,
walking briskly,
jogging intently,
passing by hurriedly,
or whizzing by
on bikes, buses and cars,
going to wherever
to do whatever…
Each with
their own cares,
caught up
in their affairs,
seeing only
what lies ahead,
seeking only
to get ahead,
not even caring
to care
about each other.
Tiny little flower,
a thing of beauty and wonder
on the roadside
grows unnoticed
except for a doddering
old man’s passing hazy gaze
which sees not
a flower,
but rather
weeds that need
a grass cutter.
