LATE BLOOMS: Sailing on

by: July 1, 2016 8:02 am Category: Mindaviews A+ / A-

It is time for us to the old captain
to now give some thanks and to bid farewell —
although not a few would rather say still:
good riddance, may we see you soon in jail!
With hopes renewed onward now we shall sail,
praying that this time the journey goes well
(while there are too those who do fret and quail),
with a new captain now taking the wheel.

Through seas uncertain our journey goes on
and to all our dreams and hopes we hold on.
Steer our ship in the right direction
that our dreams may come to realization,
this we ask of you as you take the helm,
this we pray in our hearts, our dear captain.
