ILIGAN CITY (MindaNews / 22 Nov) – The Philippine weather bureau has spotted a low pressure area (LPA) 240 km west of Zamboanga City.
In its weather bulletin issued 5 a.m. today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said it is the “tail-end of a cold front affecting Northern Luzon.” It said that Mindanao, the Bicol Region and southern Palawan “will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms.”
In another weather advisory issued at 11 a.m., PAGASA said that the LPA was spotted 220km South of Puerto Princesa City and “will continue to bring moderate to occasionally heavy rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan while cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.”
