MALAYBALAY CITY (MindaNews/19 March) — A low pressure area spotted at 4:00 a.m. Wednesday at 845 km east of Mindanao will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms across the island and Eastern and Central Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 5 a.m. advisory.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
The state weather bureau added Mindanao’s eastern seaboard (Surigao, Dinagat Island, Siargao and Davao Oriental) will experience strong to gale force winds with waves estimated at 3.4 to 4.5 meters in height.
Pagasa predicted that rains and thunderstorms will continue to prevail in Mindanao until Sunday. (MindaNews)
