ZAMBOANGA CITY (MindaNews/24 May) – Here is good news for those who wish to work aboard.
The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced that Saudi Arabia is hiring 1,663 medical professionals and preferably Filipinos.
Marietta Bellotindos, POEA Regional Officer-in-Charge, said that the Saudi Arabian government prefers to employ medical professionals from the country since Filipinos are hardworking people.
Bellotindos said that among the medical professionals needed in Saudi Arabia are nurses (female), 1,039; respiratory therapists (male and female), 500; X-ray specialists (female), 100; laboratory technicians (female), 11; pharmacists (female), 8; and radiologic technicians (female), 5.
Those who will be hired will work in hospitals and clinics in Saudi Arabia, Bellotindos said.
She stressed that no placement fees will be collected from the applicants and that the hiring will be government-to-government.
She said those interested to apply must register first at www.poea.gov.ph, submit resume, and must fill up the Saudi Recruitment Office Form.
She said the deadline for the submission of the requirements is on June 11.
The applicants will be evaluated and will be scheduled for interview.
