I waited for the day to extend my greetings. More power, MindaNews. More power, Mindanaw. Godspeed!
Malipayong 10th Anib Mindanews! Kudos Carol and the team!
Have a quiet blast today as we look forward to the “noisier” one in July!
Proud of you,
Executive Director, Initiatives for International Dialogue
Congratulations. Did you know that this year, the original ARMM Organic Act or R.A. 6734 will be 20 years old while the amended and expanded Organic Act or R.A. 9054 (supposedly the fulfillment of the 1996 GRP-MNLF peace agreement but the MNLF rejects it in view of its stance that it did not participate in its drafting) will be 10 years old? I do hope that we will be holding and participating on retrospectives, seminars and fora on ARMM in view of these anniversaries even if only for the sake of advancements, lessons learned, hindsight and quo vadis as it will also inform and contribute to the current peace talks and peace process with the MILF (In fact the ARMM in its current medium term development plan wants a role in the GPH-MILF peace process as a resource base on the lessons of practicing or not practicing autonomy).
PADAYON! Great challenges still ahead kapatid. But you have done a good beginning and you will end up fulfilled. PADAYON LAGI!

It is with great honor that I express my congratulations to the valiant men and women of MindaNews as you commemorate your 10th Anniversary.
Indeed, MindaNews has much to be proud of as it celebrates a decade of providing on-the-ground balance news. The integrity in their reporting may well be one of the countless reasons that over the years, they have been the authoritative voice when it comes to Mindanao events.
It is my hope that MindaNews will continue to exemplify the same spirit and dedication as it embarks on another year of public affairs service to Mindanaons , to every Filipino and to our country.
Congratulations once again. Mabuhay ang Minda News!

My warmest congratulations to the Mindanao News and Information Cooperative Center, and to the many fine journalists who have contributed to the success of MindaNews over the years.
For a decade, even as the number of regional news organizations worldwide dwindled, MindaNews has produced outstanding coverage of Mindanao, explaining in depth the many complex issues affecting its development. This has helped immeasurably to broaden understanding of the region, both in the Philippines and in other countries.
My best wishes to MindaNews and its supporters. May the fine work you do continue for many years to come.

Ten years ago several Mindanawon journalists dared to dream the impossible: establishing a free, independent, and unbiased news media that will present their island to the outside world through a lens of diversity, contrasts, and contradictions.
The dreaming was easy, the doing was more difficult…a birthing attended by pangs of uncertainty and reflection. But as it came to pass, all dreams woven from grit and passion have a way of becoming reality.
Thus did MindaNews see first light…a refreshing chapter in the continuously unfolding Mindanao story.
And certainly not by mere happenstance did the Center for Community Journalism and Development attend MindaNews’s birthing for it had always believed in the dream and will continue to keep the faith.
Congratulations and best wishes for a decade of exemplary journalism!
Executive Director, Center for Community Journalism and Development
