CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (MindaNews/24 Aug) — Products ranging from colorful bags made from abaca to clay cups are being displayed at the Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair in the Lim Ket Kai mall here starting last Monday.

The products, whose sales track records are among the highest, are considered the best in Northern Mindanao, said Ma. Eliza Pabillore, Misamis Oriental director of the Department of Trade and Industry.

“The products displayed in the fair are our brightest hope. It is the best that Northern Mindanao can offer,” Pabillore said.

She said handmade shopping bags, tote bags made of abaca is the number one hit in the annual Kahimunan trade fair.

Other traditional products like fashion accessories, herbal products and furniture also drew the sizable crowd that have been flocking to the display area in Lim Ket Kai Mall.

Pabillore said Maranaos from nearby Marawi City are also displaying Halal products until the trade fair closes next week.

The Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair is an annual marketing event designed to promote Northern Mindanao’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) products.
