Cebu-Pacific Air launches Zambo-CDO route

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanews/21 October) – Traveling between Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro cities will no longer be a half-day ordeal with the inauguration Saturday of the thrice-weekly Zamboanga-Cagayan route.

Michelle Eve De Guzman, assistant manager of Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) Corporate Communications assistant manager, said the A319 airbus flight for Cagayan de Oro  is at 6:05 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays while the Cagayan de Oro flight leaves that city for Zambaonga at 7:45 a.m.

Charlie Manio, CEB Advertising and Promotions Director, said one of their priorities in launching the new route is to help make this city “a top of mind destination for domestic and foreign travelers, especially as a hub for tourism, trade, government and education.”

“We plan to achieve this by providing more connectivity and access through air travel and offering our low-fare, great value proposition to even more travelers,” he said.

“We believe this (route) will open up more opportunities in the region, since these two cities will now just be an hour and 10 minutes plane ride away as compared to buses and other forms of land transport,” Manio said.

At present, commuters to and from Cagayan de Oro have to endure a 12-hour bus ride to and from this city. (Mindanews)
