The forum, the fourth in a series, "hopes to increase general public understanding of supply chain management concepts in the international and local setting", according to a press release by Rene Estremera of the UP Min information office.
Experts who are active players in the international and local supply chain management scene, Estremera said, will talk on building relationships between players in the supply chain, market trends, vegetable markets in the Philippines, research redirections and opportunities.
UP-Mindanao named the presenters as Prof. Peter Batt and Dr. Roy Murray-Prior of the Curtin University of Technology, Prof. Ma. Concepcion Lizada of UP Diliman, and Dr. Klondy Dagupen of Benguet State University.
Two professors, Dr. Larry N. Digal and Dr. Sylvia B. Concepcion from UP Mindanao's School of Management, will join the panel of presenters.
Estremera said the forum is part of a run-up of activities for the UP Centennial Celebration next year. It is sponsored by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) as a collaborative effort between Curtin University of Technology, UP Diliman, Benguet State University and UP Mindanao.
The forum, open to the public and free of charge, is scheduled on August 29, Tuesday from 1:30 to 4:45 in the afternoon at Room 204, School of Management, UP Mindanao Anda campus, this city. (Walter I. Balane/MindaNews)
