Rodriguez said that this school year some 900 senior students of KCNHS would be graduating April next year.
“One thing unique in our school is we have dedicated teachers who are not only after the salary but for the welfare of our students,” she stressed.
A few students interviewed by MindaNews have opposing views.
Carl Cagoco, a senior high school student at the Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC), said he is in favor of reinstating the NCEE.
“We know that not all graduates are ready to go to college. Many of them still don’t know what course to take. The NCEE should help them decide,” he said.
But Hectore Caduyac, also a senior student at NDKC, said the NCEE is just a waste of time and “unfair” to graduating students.
He noted that the DepEd in the previous years has introduced various examinations, yet the quality of education in the country remains poor.
