“Last two” is an illegal numbers game which bases its winning on the last two digits of the winning first prize of the Sweepstakes ticket.
Seniel said the reports are “baseless.” He said his predecessor, Inspector Ed Banico, had intensified the campaign against the illegal numbers game.
At least a dozen “last two” ushers were arrested in saturation drives in M’lang, the hometown of Governor Emmanuel Pinol.
“We cannot immediately eliminate ‘last two’ operations in our town but we our doing our very best to apprehend all involved,” Seniel told DXND.
Seniel also ordered his intelligence operatives to closely monitor the suspected “bigtime” financiers operating in various areas of Mlang.
The new chief of police said he has secured the names of the suspected financiers but declined to divulge it on air.
He appealed to constituents to cooperate in their campaign against illegal gambling by prompt reporting of any illegal activity in their respective places.
Seniel has also fielded non-uniformed personnel in M’lang public market to closely monitor last two operations for possible arrest of those behind the illegal numbers game in town. (Williamor A. Magbanua/MindaNews)
