Reports reaching MindaNews as of Saturday evening said 14 victims had died due to severe injuries and loss of blood.
Inspector Reynaldo Donor, Makilala police chief, said one victim died on the spot, 10 were declared dead on arrival in various hospitals in Makilala and Kidapawan City, and six others died while undergoing treatment.
The Makilala police identified the fatalities as: Jonathan Nartea 29, of Barangay Poblacion Makilala Cotabato; Pedro Wacan 18, of Cotabato City; Roland Cadungog 19, Makilala; PO3 Ronie Atud 41, SWAT member from Kidapawan City; Manuel Sereña 52, of Cagayan De Oro City; Ramil Uy of Makilala; Chona Undap, 38 of Makilala; Geraline Mandiata and Elenita Mandiala of Makilala.
Lovely Ipogon, 10 of Toril Davao City; Trinidad Dayo, 49 of Makilala; Epifania Cabrera; Richard Tabanao and Mercy Pangot, 39 of Makilala; Nelson Fuertollano of Kidapawan City; Andelyn Villasor, 10 and Presentatcion Villasor of Barangay Bagontapay, Mlang Cotabato.
Donor identified the wounded as: Junelene Malinao Cruz, 23 of Kidapawan City; Arnel Sandoval Jr. 18, of Makilala, SPO1 Josie Marie Molina of Kabacan Cotabato; Almario Cadornigara, 26 of Makilala, Lindsay Cabrera 9; Jasmin Rondina 46 and Florendo Rondina, 39 of Matan-ao Davao del Sur and driver of the dump truck; Crizel Mae Alagos, 18 of Mlang; Ana Marie Canja, 18 of Aleosan Cotabato; Aldrin Montecalvo, 17 and Jorbert Mandiala, 5 of Makilala and Daniel Naquila, 30 of arangay Sadaan, Midsayap Cotabato.
The incident took place around 3:30 pm in sitio Patulangon, Barangay Malasila Makilala Cotabato when a 10-wheeler dump truck bearing plate number CMY-369 plowed into vehicles parked at the roadside.
The dump truck is owned by Shen De Monteverde of Lapu-Lapu Extension, Digos City.
Rondina was still in critical condition at the Kidapawan Medical Specialist Center when brought there by rescuers yesterday.
Donor said the dump truck was on the way to Makilala to deliver sand and gravel to the Phoenix gas station in Barangay Saguing.
