Maribel Dimaano, the janitor, said the culprits carted away several office
equipment amounting to some P100, 000.
The missing equipment include a computer monitor and keyboard, typewriter,
TV set, air pot, electric fan, VHS player, cassette recorder, compact disc
player and pressure cooker.
She said several documents such as research works were scattered near the
exit when she checked the office Sunday morning.
The culprits destroyed the cabinet drawer of staffer Eduardo Solomon and
took away some P7000 in cash from collections and important documents.
Chief Insp. Leo Ajero, city police director, has already ordered an investigation to identify possible suspects.
He said it is possible that the culprits are living near the site.
The provincial police office disclosed that the looting at DA's research center was the second to occur in the second district of the province this month.
On New Year's Day the Commission of Elections office in Mlang town was also ransacked.
