Agilas tops EDSA Unity cagefest

Former Pawnbroker stalwarts Jose Randy Panerio and Arturo Atablanco led the offensive chores with Panerio drilling in 21 points while playmaker Atablanco poured in 13 markers.

Ex-pro Henry Fernnadez, who played for North Cotabato Braves before joining the Armand Quibud-owned Montana, top scored for the Pawnbrokers’ losing cause with 19 points.

In collegiate division, Agro Industrial oundation College relied on its old guards to stop the Ateneo de Davao Blue Knights, 87-83. Forward Ariel Fortuna scored 29 points to led the Sailors scoring chores.

The Blue Knights gave a good fight but fell short despite the good showing of former Ateneo De Manila University team B member Miguel Solitaria who canned 21 points.
The tournament was sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) as part of the EDSA People Power Celebration with the support of the City Government of Davao and the Basketball Association of the Philippines- XI.
