Quibod is new IBP president for Davao

Quibod won 235 votes, closely followed by Socorro Ermac-Cabreros (225 votes) and Arturo Agudo (103 votes) in the elections held Saturday. .    

Quibod is the incumbent treasurer while Cabreros is the incumbent vice president.

In the vice presidency, Philip Pantojan won over Cres Dan Bangoy by only three votes (161 against Bangoy’s 158).

The other elected officers are Faye January Risonar (secretary), Ma. Mercedita Barrios-Talaver (treasurer), Rey Eduardo Delos Reyes (Auditor), Maceste Uy (PRO)  and directors Lucilo Sarona Jr., Martin Delgra III, Oscar Carcedo,  Rodrigo Jumao-as and Geraldine Quimosing-Tiu.

Quibod had earlier served as chapter vice president under then president Carlos Isagani T. Zarate, also a human rights lawyer. During their incumbency, the present two-storey IBP Legal Resource Center inside the Hall of Justice Compound was started and completed.
