Insp. Benjamin Mauricio, the city’s assistant chief of police, identified the wounded as Michael Farin, 25; Rafael Rabino, 25; and Rey Carda, 24 all from Barangay Poblacion, Makilala North Cotabato.
Witnesses told Kidapawan City PNP that they noticed the three victims in heated argument while riding a motorcycle heading towards the direction of Makilala town.
Minutes later, a fragmentation grenade believed to have been carried by one the victims, exploded.
Bystanders rushed the victims to the Kidapawan Doctors Hospital for medical treatment.
The three have been pronounced out of danger.
The 603rd Explosives and Ordnance Disposal Team recovered from the crime site a safety lever and fuse of the fragmentation grenade.
Insp. Mauricio however ordered the police investigators to conduct deeper investigation to determine who among the three victims owned the grenade. (Williamor A. Magbanua/MindaNews)
