SP02 Ma. Rosario Yambao- Suarez, chief of PDEA's preventive education and community involvement division told MindaNews the test will be held at the Davao City National High School from 7 a.m. to 12 noon.
The examiners announced applicants should be in the testing center by 6 a.m.
PDEA announced the hiring of around 2,000 new agents nationwide in time for the end of its five-year agreement with the Philippine National Police.
Suarez said around 300 will be recruited from Davao City but could not give figure how many of the 2,000 would come from Mindanao.
Created in 2002 by the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act with the Dangerous Drugs Board, PDEA's personnel was composed of police personnel detailed to field offices nationwide.
The PNP recalled its personnel this month, leaving the PDEA with in interim status as new personnel are still being trained.
Suarez admitted they were caught flat-footed on the recall of their colleagues to the PNP. But they are awaiting a new agreement with the police for a new batch of personnel to fill in their shortage.
She said walk-in applicants will be accepted on Saturday.
