Cruz told radio station dxLS that the project is a network of roads that will connect three remote barangays of the city "and will invite investments for commerce and construction of villages."
He said, however, that (the project) still needs constant follow-ups to place it on the priority budgetary allocation of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
The mayor noted that despite the administration’s electoral debacle in Iligan where most of her senatorial candidates lose “she still gives importance to her native city which shows she isn't a lame duck.”
"We are a city on the rise," he said.
Cruz also announced that aside from the ongoing construction of Gaisano Mall here two more mall operators are eyeing sites for their own establishments.
This for him signals job opportunities for unemployed residents of the city.
