The Fruit Galore is a display of tropical fruits – among them, lanzones, rambutan, marang (milk fruit), banana, durian, mangosteen, pomelo, guava, santol — along a three-kilometer stretch of the highway, for everyone to feast on, for free.
Of the amount allocated for the festival, P240, 000 has been allocated for the Fruit Galore, while P243,375 has been allotted as prizes for street dancing competition; P245,000 for booth competition and P154, 500 for Fruit Float competition.
The remaining P537,625 is for the honoraria of the board of judges and other minor prizes.
This years’ fruit festival celebration theme is “Timpupo…Handog…Pasasalamat.”
