Chief Supt. Andres Caro, head of the Police Reigonal Office XI said reports reaching him as of 5 p.m. on Good Friday from the Damage Assessment Team said a total of eight houses had been destroyed by the floods and landslides – five in Barangay San Antonio and three in Barangay San Pedro – that struck at 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Damage to crops – abaca, coconut, rootcrops – has yet to be determined but preliminary reports say the damage is “huge.”
Barangay volunteers recovered the body of infant Bobong Ali. Earlier reports identified the dead as Criselda Ali, 21; Irish Daliasao, 21; and Croy Daligasao, 18.
All four victims were buried afternoon of Good Friday, Caro said.
Ten of the injured are members of the Ali and Daligasao families: Abong, 23; Jay-jay, 7; and Linda Ali, 48; Crisaire, 5; Okoy, 3; Ivy, 1; and Paquito Ali. The injured Daligasaos are Laurel, 18; Damil, 17; Jessie, 22. (MindaNews)
