Edgar Salino, media officer of the Office of Civil Defense, said the current weather disturbance will likely bring heavy downpour which may result to landslides and flash floods.
Salino asked the communities living along rivers and landslide prone areas to be vigilant and ready in case calamity strikes. He specified Marilog, the hilly portions of Calinan, and the Sirawan river areas.
The Regional Disaster Coordinating Council (RDCC) is also conducting physical and ocular inspections to trace disaster-prone areas. Chief Superintendent Andres Caro II, RDCC chair, said they are also asking the help of barangay captains to identify these areas. (MindaNews)
