Sr. Supt. Casimero Medes, information officer of the Philippine National Police regional office, said Dani Ibrahim Pendatun, 36, married and jobless, was arrested at his hideout at Purok 6 in Barangay Apopong, General Santos City.
The police, armed with an arrest warrant, cordoned the hideout of the suspect upon receiving reports from intelligence operatives.
While serving the warrant, the accused managed to sneak out from the pursuers but was chased and intercepted while going out the compound of a certain Jobaina Ambo Alilaya at Lot 3, Barangay Apopong about 4 p.m.
The suspect denied the charges, adding that his surname is not Latip but Pendatun. However, police authorities provided information on the suspect’s role in the bombing.

Latip was charged with murder and frustrated murder charges. No bail was recommended for the suspect.
Police said five other accused named Beh Badz, Abu Sayop, Jordan Acmad, Roy Seddic and Ustadz Karahudin remain at large.
