SURIGAO CITY (MindaNews/01 March) – Nineteen of 96 workers of the nickel mining firm Platinum Group Metals Corp. (PGMC) in Surigao del Norte were found to have been infected with pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) but the company claimed this is not due to mining operations.
