The plan, also known as the city’s Medium Term Development Plan, contains a list of proposals from the city's departments, barangay councils, concerned national government agencies, and programs and projects identified by the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod for 2008 to 2010.
Councilor Myrna Dalodo Ortiz, chair of the committee on finance, ways and means and appropriations, said the city council would base the approval of the annual investment plan for 2008, from the LDIP.
Allocation for the proposed infrastructure projects is P2.64 billion while budget for non-infrastructure is P1.04 billion.
Non-infrastructure projects include economic development (P189.94 million), social development (P588.8 million) and development administration (P262.12 million).
No details were made available on the social development projects.
The infrastructure projects are broken down into these components: road development project (P1.3 billion), buildings and other structures (P645.3 million), electrification (P93.56-M), drainage program (P252.9-M), bridge program (P130.6-M) and water system (P193.9 M).
Ortiz said in her proposed resolution that the projects are in conformity with the thrusts and priorities embodied in the city's Comprehensive Development Plan from 1996 to 2021.
Only projects listed in the said proposals could be included in the preparation of the city government's annual investment plan, she said.
As of press time, a copy of the list of projects was still unavailable. (Walter I. Balane/MindaNews)
