TURNING POINT: Voting Wisely

In this mid-term election, a wise vote

Is one that

Puts a brake to excessive taxation that raises the prices of basic commodities, which has worsened the plight of the poor;

Ascertains that jobs are secured for Filipino workers and are not granted as a privilege to Chinese migrant job-seekers;

Protects the country’s natural resources from Chinese control and exploitation;
Stops the unconditional surrender to China of our sovereign territories in West Philippines Seas;

Provides a rational and holistic solution to the drug menace;

Puts an end to extra-judicial killing;

Elects lawmakers whose public service is not tainted with corruption and who still believe that honesty is an imperative virtue in government service;

Assures that democracy won’t die and the Senate and the entire Congress for that purpose will not be a rubber stamp of the Executive Department; and

Makes public servants of believers in the Almighty God whose guidance and help we invoked in our Constitution not those who lean on and believe in the untrammelled power of a vulgar blasphemer.
