There used to be a tarpaulin on the corner of this road leading to the site of the November 23, 2009 massacre in Ampatuan, Maguindanao, bearing the photographs of the 58 victims, 32 of them from the media. The tarpaulin stayed there for years, a marker visible from the Cotabato-General Santos City highway, but no one bothered to replace it even if it was in tatters. Now it’s completely gone as this photo taken October 28, 2013 shows. MindaNews photo by Carolyn O. Arguillas
