Davao literati are in for a treat today (July 22, Wednesday) when the Davao Writers Guild, in cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, presents BUKAMBIBIG: SALITA’T SAYAW 2010.

The show will feature readings by eminent Davao writers such as Tita Lacambra-Ayala, Aida Rivera-Ford, and Ricardo de Ungria. Also reading their works are Maria Morales, Jhoanna Lynn Cruz, and Dominique Cimafranca. An excerpt from a story by Macario Tiu will be read by performance artist Malu Tiangco.

What makes Bukambibig different from ordinary poetry readings is that the pieces are interpreted through contemporary dance by the Kalumon Performing Ensemble headed by Artistic Director Mario Leofer Lim.  The show is at 6 p.m. at the 5th floor Entertainment Area of Gaisano Grand Citimall, Ilustre. The public is invited. Admission is free.
