TAGUM CITY (Tagum City Information Office) — Elements of the Tagum City Police Office (TCPO) arrested two persons found to have possessed dried marijuana leaves in two separate houses last June 10, 2014.
The police desk identified the suspect as Judelo Reegao, 35, and Norra Mabanding, 37, who were arrested at their respective houses in Purok Cadena de Amor in Barangay Visayan Village, this city.
The operation, led by the Tagum City Police Detective Team, busted 73 packs of dried marijuana fruiting tops with 9,000 pesos estimated street value.
Said items were submitted to the Davao del Norte Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for quantitative and qualitative examination, while the two arrested persons were held in TCPO as authorities hasten the filing of charges against them in violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Law.
The operation was authorized through separate search warrants issued by Judge Virginia Tejano-Ang and with proper coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
