Partyphiles get ready. Trancesisyon, the first “PsyTrance” party and music and arts festival in Mindanao, is underway.

The one-day party, slated on May 16 at the Energy Park of Tagum City, aims to promote music and to feature visual artistry of local talents. The festival, designed to have colorful and chromatic decorations, promises to be unique of its kind; it will also feature a psychedelic art atmosphere, to be complemented by electronic and dance music by top DJs in the Philippines who will bring you to their own distinct music journey.

Anj Cervera Events, in partnership with Bacardi, Asia Brewery, Big 8 hotel, J Nasul Capture and the City Government of Tagum, has invited DJs from Manila to join the rest of the gang in the party: DJ Jet Boado, Ron Poe and Khai Lim; and Kirby Yu from Boracay and Distillery Cebu. Hyping the crowd are MC Ron Thug and MC MJ Collarga.

Local talents will also be highlighted: Jack Ripper and Kevin Rage of Brewery, Hybrid and Magic 89.1 will spin for the night; Ronn Mirrage of Brewery, Ram Mia, and Pae Dobles will also tag along.

Trancesisyon, Tagum’s first rave party, is expected to gather a 3,000-strong crowd of party people.

Ziplining, wall climbing, biking, and face painting activities will be part of the festival; there will also be mini art exhibits, surprise performers, fireworks, and lots of pizza.
