The one-day cycling event, which fires off at 6 A.M., aims to raise funds to support the clean air campaign and conservation and preservation of the watersheds in the city.
The 40-kilometers fun ride starts at Magsaysay Park and culminates at Malagos Park with a fellowship lunch, concert, awarding of special prizes, games, races and raffle.
"The flight of the eagle is Davao's traditional cycling event held every year as part of the Kadaywan sa Davao festival, " organizers said.
Special awards will be given to Best Family Rider, Lightest and Heaviest Rider, Biggest Delegation, Talented Rider, Youngest and Oldest Rider.
The events is organized by Federation of Off-Road Cycling Enthusiast (FORCE) and backed by Office of Councilor Leo Avila, Davao City Water District, Energy and Clean Air Project. (Rico Biliran/MindaNews).
