The dance sports competition is set on August 23 at the Gaisano Mall of Davao Atrium with pairs from Gen. Santos City and Koronadal City disputing for top honors.
The one-day event set at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., is divided into open amateur grade A and "school-based" class categorized into elementary, high school and college.
Open amateur class will feature cha-cha, rumba, samba, paso doble and jive while the "school-based" class will only showcase cha-cha and jive dances.
The Department of Education Southern Mindanao has invited all schools to participate in the event", according to organizer Denise Bunayog.
Winners will receive trophies, cash prizes, and gift certificates, while consolation prizes shall be given to the non-winning pairs. Other special awards and prizes will be announced during the event. (Rico Biliran/MindaNews).
