Holy Cross, MSU score wins in volleyball

The Holy Cross women’s volleyball team downed the University of the Philippines- Diliman, 25 – 19, 25 – 15, 25 – 18 while the MSU men’s squad crushed John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation, 25 – 19, 25 – 13, 25 – 13 to notch its first victory.

The win move the Holy Cross lady spikers a win away from the medal round. It will try to book a quarterfinals slot when they face Bacolod City-based University of Negros Occidental-Recoleto s Wednesday.

In basketball, Holy Cross of Davao College Crusaders clobbered Foundation University of Dumaguete City while MSU cagers absorbed their second defeat at the hands of S. Louis College of Baguio City.

Over at the Natalio G. Velez Gym in Silay City, some 15 kilometers away from this city, Ateneo De Davao University Blue Knights bowed to University of Ilo-Ilo, 55 – 79.
In football, Xavier University of Cagayan De Oro City men and women’s booters bowed to De La Salle University at the Paglaum Sports Complex.

In table tennis , Holy Cross bet’s Jacquiline Caragao and Debby Kate Mascardo scored wins while Caraga defeated University of Negros Occidental-Recoleto s bet Shairen Pie Lagunday, 3 – 1 while Mascrado beat Princess.
