Xavier University will host the sports event, which has been dormant since its inception more than four years ago.
The weeklong-event will also highlight the jubilee year celebration of the first companion of St. Ignatius Loyola (1556 – 2006), Blessed Peter Faber (1506 – 2006) and St. Francis Xavier (1506 – 2006).
Competition which will be both for high school and college ranks will include basketball boys, table tennis boys, chess boys and football boys for the high-school division and men’s and women’s basketball in the college class.
Elegino said they have decided to “institutionalize the event and hold the invitational games annually” during their meeting held in Cebu City.
Seeing action are teams from AdDU, Ateneo de Manila University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Ateneo de Naga, Ateneo de Ilo-ilo, Xavier Universities, Xavier schools and Sacred Heart School of Cebu City. (Rico Biliran/MindaNews)
