More than 100 kiddie tri-athletes are expected to see action in the event organized by Triathlon Association of Davao (TRIAD).
Alhen Philam Villaflor, TRIAD Public Relation Officer, said the tournament dubbed "Kids play for those who can't" aims to raise fund for the benefit of cancer patients at Davao Medical Center.
"For the last three years, they (cancer patients at Davao Medical Center) are our beneficiaries," said Villaflor during the weekly Davao Sportswriters Association Forum Friday.
The one-day event will showcase competitions for the following age groups: 7 and under, 7 to 8, 9 to 10, 11 to 12 and 13 to 15 years old and above.
Specially crafted medals are up for grabs in the tournament which has a registration fee of P350.
Villaflor added that TRIAD is planning to stage the tournament twice a year.
