DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/15 March) — A soldier from Parang, Maguindanao was charged after he was allegedly caught selling illegal drug in a buy-bust operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on March 8.
City Prosecutor Gaye Magdagasang recommended no bail for the accused, Jamel Abdul, who was caught for .0620 grams of shabu, according to the complaint filed by a police agent involved in the buy-bust operation.
The agent said that an informant reported that Abdul was selling illegal drugs.
Police then set up an entrapment along Quirino Avenue near Davao Doctor’s Hospital, where the suspect would meet the agent.
When they met, the agent handed a marked P1000 bill to Abdul after which the agent signaled to his colleagues to arrest the suspect.
Reporters and personnel from the prosecutor’s office confirmed the buy-bust operation.
