Jolo bomb explosion kills 2, injures 8

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanews/04 March) – An improvised bomb explosion rocked the business center of Jolo, Sulu on Saturday night, killing two persons and injured eight others.

Lt. Col. Randolph Cabangbang, spokesperson of the Western Mindanao Command (Wesmincom) said the explosion occurred at around 6:55 p.m. at the entrance of Cleopatra Commercial Store along Serrantes Street in downtown Jolo.

Cabangbang said investigation showed that the improvised bomb was placed on a generator set of the store, Cabangbang said.

The military and the police are still investigating the case.  (MindaNews)
