KIDAPAWANCITY (MindaNews/30 Sept) – The Police Regional Office in Southwestern Mindanao (Region 12) received on Friday at least 10 brand new computers with printers from the Public Safety Savings and Loan Association, Inc., (PSSLAI).
Sr. Supt. Robert Kiunisala, deputy police regional director for operations in Region 12, said the computers would be distributed to at least 10 police units and offices in the region.
The regional office is in General Santos City.
The PPSLAI is a non-stock, non-profit savings and loan association for the PNP, set up in 2003.
Its main objective is to provide PNP personnel, uniformed and non-uniformed, investment opportunities and immediate access to funds and help them cope with the rising needs of daily living.
Among the recipients of the computers are the Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division – records and publication section; Regional Public Safety Battalion-12; Sultan Kudarat Provincial Public Safety Company; Third Manuever Company; South Cotabato Provincial Internal Affairs Service; and provincial headquarters in Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, North Cotabato, and South Cotabato.
Computers will also be distributed to the Alabel municipal police station in Sarangani; General Santos City PNP – finance section;
Isulan PNP in Sultan Kudarat; Surallah PNP in South Cotabato; and Arakan PNP in North Cotabato.
Kiunisala, in a statement, said the brand new office equipment would help improve the police’s service to the community.
PRO-12 regional director Chief Supt. Alex Paul Monteaguo thanked PSSLAI for its early Christmas gift. “These will surely help the PNP in its police work. The donation of the PSSLAI is a timely gift,” he said. (Malu Cadelina-Manar/MindaNews)
