MALAYBALAY CITY (MindaNews/22 March) – Tropical Depression “Caloy” has weakened into a low pressure area hours after making landfall on Surigao del Sur Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 5 p.m. bulletin.
At 4:00 PM today, the center of the LPA was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Surigao City.
Pagasa said all storms signals have been lifted in the 15 provinces where public storm Signal No. 1 was hoisted.
The areas in Mindanao covered by the storm signal included Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte including Siargao, Dinagat, Northern Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Northern Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, and Camiguin.
But Pagasa said Caraga will continue to experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. (MindaNews)
