KORONADAL CITY (MindaNews/20 March)–A low pressure area spotted 270 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur at 4 a.m. on Thursday will bring light to moderate rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms in Mindanao and Eastern and Central Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 5 a.m. advisory.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains, Pagasa said.
The eastern Mindanao seaboard straddling Surigao, Davao Oriental, Dinagat Island and Siargao will have rough to very rough sea condition, the state weather bureau said.
Pagasa cautioned fishing boats and other smaller seacrafts not to venture to the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves, which could be as high as 4.5 meters. (MindaNews)
