LPA spotted off Surigao Sur

KORONADAL CITY (MindaNews/12 April)—A low pressure area spotted 440 kilometers east northeast of Hinatuan Surigao del Sur at 4 a.m. Saturday will bring scattered light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms in the Caraga region and Eastern Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 5 a.m. advisory.

Caraga comprises the provinces of Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough, Pagasa said. (MindaNews)
