3.9-magnitude quake jolts Libona town in Bukidnon

MALAYBALAY CITY (MindaNews/25 August) — A 3-9-magnitude earthquake hit Libona town in Bukidnon at 7:46pm Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Phivolcs said the tremor was located eight kilometers northeast of Libona and had a depth of two km.

Intensity III was recorded in Libona and Baungon town and Intensity II in Manolo Fortich town and in Cagayan de Oro City, it added.

The quake was felt as far as Malaybalay City, which is about one hour from Libona.

No damage was reported so far, Phivolcs said. (MindaNews)
