PRO-9 adopts ‘Oplan Puntod’ to ensure peaceful ‘Undas’

ZAMBOANGA CITY (MindaNews/30 October) – The Police Regional Office-9 has placed all its personnel on full alert to ensure the peaceful observance of the All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days in the region.

Chief Supt. Miguel Antonio, PRO-9 director, said they have adopted “Oplan Puntod” to ensure a “zero crime incidence” during the observance of Undas.

Antonio has ordered security for churches, transport facilities, cemeteries and other areas where people are expected to converge.

He reminded the people not to leave their homes unattended when traveling for the observance of Undas and advised them to travel early to avoid traffic.

Antonio said law enforcement activities as stipulated in Oplan Lambat Sibat such as manhunt operations against wanted person, intelligence operations against criminal groups and suspected terror groups, and the serving of search warrants will continue.

He urged the cooperation of the public by way of providing timely information to ensure a peaceful observance of Undas in the region. (MindaNews)
