DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/22 March) — Shabu with an estimated value of P1.8 million was reportedly seized from a suspected drug trader at the Task Force Davao checkpoint in Sirawan, Toril, this city at around 9am on Monday.

Milgrace Driz said the seizure was the biggest so far this year.
DCPO’s report said the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 11, TFD, and Toril Police Station conducted a joint operation after receiving reports that a suspect carrying illegal drug was en route to the city.
The arrested suspect was identified as Renz Nicole Nellas Tuban, 23, a resident of Zone 2, San Vicente, Buhanghin, Davao City.
Authorities recovered from his possession four big sachets and one small sachet containing suspected shabu, three ammunition of a .
45 caliber pistol, and a white Samsung mobile phone.
Tuban underwent investigation by PDEA 11. He will face charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
