CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (MindaNews / 15 June) – An Australian journalist covering the fighting in Marawi City was wounded by a stray bullet at the Lanao del Sur Provincial Capitol Thursday morning.
Adam Harvey, of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, was walking between the infirmary and evacuation center at the provincial capitol when a stray bullet struck him on his neck.
Harvey was immediately provided treatment and later was rushed to a hospital in Iligan.
Later, Harvey posted a picture of himself—sporting a thumbs up with a bandage on his neck – in his Facebook account.
“Thanks everyone – I am okay. Bullet still in my neck, but it missed everything important,” Harvey wrote.
