Suspect in several frustrated homicide cases falls in North Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY (MindaNews / 19 Feb) – Police arrested Sunday a farmer wanted for several frustrated homicide cases in Magpet, North Cotabato.

The suspect was identified as Jonathan H. Allarse, 46, of Barangay Manobisa in Magpet. He is facing a case of multiple frustrated homicide at the Regional Trial Court Branch 17 in Kidapawan City.

Police tagged Allarse as one of the top 10 most wanted persons in Magpet.

Also on Sunday, police nabbed in two separate incidents in the province a man accused of stabbing a relative and a person wanted for robbery.

Bonifacio C. Painagan, who is accused of stabbing his cousin Johary Penafiel, 26, of Barangay Poblacion after an altercation, was arrested in Kidapawan City.

Magpet town police chief Senior Inspector Jose Mari C. Molina said Painagan stabbed Penafiel during the death anniversary of another relative in Magpet.

The suspect sought refuge in a friend’s house in Kidapawan but police tracked him down.

In Kabacan town, after hours of manhunt, police collared on Sunday a 39-year old robbery suspect.

Chief Inspector Roni Cordero, chief of Kabacan police, identified the suspect as Alexander Magbanua, 39.

Magbanua allegedly stole cash, laptops and other valuable items inside an Episcopalian Church located along Sunrise Street in Poblacion, Kabacan.

In M’lang town, two men allegedly involved in illegal drug trade eluded arrest when police launched a search operation against them, on Sunday.

Authorities identified the suspects as Sambuto Ulidan Dalimama and Mansur Ulidan Salimama, both residents of M’lang.

Chief Inspector Rolly Oranza, chief of M’lang PNP, said the two are also involved in the theft of cars and motorcycles in North Cotabato and Maguindanao.

Oranza, together with some members of the 108th Base Command of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, searched the houses of the suspects for illegal drugs, guns and stolen motorcycles.
